This Ancient Mayan Jade Skull is believed to be up to 4000 years old. The lower jaw is no longer there, but not surprising due to its age. The skull is a stunning turquoise colour. With ancient information waiting to be shared with the right keeper, is this skull calling you?
In Chinese tradition, jade symbolized the five virtues of humanity: wisdom, compassion, justice, modesty and courage. Symbols of these virtues were often carved into jade amulets and netsukes. Jade is said to promote love, courage, justice, wisdom and self-sufficiency and is believed to be an emotional balancer. It is thought to release negative thoughts and to soothe the mind. Jade is a protective stone, said to protect the wearer from harm and to attract good luck and friendship. Jade skulls were put in burial chambers to protect the persons spirit.
TOOMS IN CHINA
China has a large population. People often ask, "Well how many tombs can there be" This is one of the skulls that I purchased on my travels in Hong Kong, where many stories can be told. One of those is that there are many tombs being found and that they are not always accessed. A light and camera will be lowered to see if the tomb is viable for opening. A few Jade Skulls are now becoming available on the market.
